In 1972 David Bowie released his fifth studio album with the odd title "The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders of Mars". The album includes songs that show through their lyrics the story of a fictional rock star, Ziggy Stardust. Ziggy is an alien who arrives on Earth when the planet has reached the limit of destruction and is trying to pass a message of hope and peace through his turbulent life as a rock star.

This year, 40 years later, the album is re-released on CD and vinyl. The reissue will include all original songs of the original album, while the vinyl version will also feature a DVD with unreleased songs. Expected to be released on June 5.
