February did not have the long-awaited releases January did, but despite that, we could say we have listened to some good albums.

The Londoner White Lies with the first release, after three singles, have created a hype in the UK, reaching the official chart No.1. The sound reminds us of the Killers and Editors, while certainly not lacking influences by many different groups of the 80s.

The Telepathe from Brooklyn with their debut "Dance Mother", for which Ody wrote , flirt with electro beat and shoegaze, while bringing to mind the Ladytron. The album has been produced by Dave Sitek from the TV on the Radio and certainly needs several hearings to be appreciated.

The Von Bondies with their fourth release, and after having changed their line up, still sound good and strong.

The group of 22-year-old Zachary Francis Condon, Beirut , returned after two albums with a double EP and will not disappoint their numerous friends in Greece.

The Howling Bells from Australia released their second album Radio Wars which lies at a slightly lower level than their first one, named after themselves, in 2006 .

Also, the Scots The View , two years after the Hats off to the Buskers, release Which Bitch? and probably disappoint those who awaited an appropriate follow-up.

Matt Ward from Oregon released his seventh album, completing 11 years of music career.

Among the disappointments of the month is the new release by Prodigy. In their fifth album, to be released on  February 23rd, for which left says  , they appear fully lined up for the first time after the Fat of the Land in1997 and listening to it one thinks that time is stuck in the 90's for them. In Run with the wolves Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters is involved.

The album I mostly listened to in February was released at the end of 2008 and fell to our attention in retard. This is the first release by Monsieur Minimal from Thessaloniki entitled Lollipop for which you can read my impressions here .
