The Kings Of Leon will be absent in the next six months from musical events...

kingsofleon With the success of 'Only By The Night' following them throughout 2009, the  Kings Of Leon appear to have taken the decision to take it down a notch before entering the studio to prepare their next step.

Since they toured the world (besides us of course)  mid 2009 promoting  'Only By The Night', they released three more singles from the album, a live DVD entitled 'Live At The O2 London, England' won a series of awards (from Grammy to Brit) and generally found themselves a lot in the limelight, it is logical that the time has come to retreat from the workings of the music industry to rest and regroup.

And that is what they'll do for the next six months according to their drummer Nathan Followill.

"I'll sit on my couch with my pants and a pint of chocolate chip cookie ice cream and cry with tears of joy. And then I'll go to the golf course, for little fishing and camping in nature,"
Followill added for Q magazine.

This does not mean that they have not started to prepare for the next album, with Nathan disclosing that they have already written 10 songs.

Until we hear new things from Kings Of Leon, let's wish them a good rest!
