As I have wrote here in mixgrill last Saturday was the third anniversary dedicated to American music stores, also known as Record Store Day .

On the occasion of that day Smashing Pumpkins appeared on Saturday in Los Angeles in Space 15 Twenty for a free private show.

Present were friends, relatives and 250 fans of the band that have ordered in advance their new album titled Teargarden by Kaleidyscope, Vol.1:Songs for a Sailor.

The evening held a surprise when Billy Corgan presented to viewers a, hitherto unknown, son Jason. As the singer said after the interview in Rolling Stone, last March he learned that he has a child. The same child, that wore a Mexican warrior mask, said that Corgan is the worst father in the world.

Nobody has determined whether it was a hoax by the frontman, or if he decided to communicate in this way that he has a son.

But the show was enjoyable, lasted 75 minutes and included pieces from the past such as "Today" and "Bullet with Butterfly Wings. "

The new, since 2007, Smashing Pumpkins consist of, besides Corgan, Jeff Schroeder, drummer Mike Byrne and bassist Mark Tulin. At the end of the show, the eccentric singer said they were planning a tour but until then... heroin and fireworks!
