Zaz, or Isabelle Geffroy, is a 30-year old, although listening to her one would think she is younger, French singer and last May she released her first album that already gained many fans in her country. Still, her homonym debut album does not only aim at the fans of french music. Zaz moves about jazz, in combination to other styles, like original chanson and pop.

She is said to be influenced by Edith Piaf and the truth is that in certain songs of the album she has no intention of hiding that. Watch closely her performing style in Dans ma rue, as well as the intro of Ni oui ni non and you will get that! But don't stop there because you will be underestimating her. Her album is amazing! She sometimes uses her own voice as an instrument, as in her first single Je Veux, watch also the video, as well as in Prends garde a ta langue and J’ aime a nouveau. In her debut, Zaz seems very promising and her performing style varies: in Le long de la route she sounds happy, while in La fee a little blue and dreamy. Her gypsy influence is revealed in Prends garde a ta langue, while Port cotton sounds fairly romantic.

Above all, the little French Zaz has really taken in her various influence and brings out her awesome performing potential. We look forward to her next steps, while from several videos we have watched from her live shows, she seems to be delightful on stage. It sure would be interesting to have her visit us.
