FM to Web: Robert Plant and the Band of Joy

I want to write a few words about Robert Plant. This year's album with the Band Of Joy has already won a place on the list of the established review at the end of the year in Rockzone.

Perhaps I could write about Bryan Ferry's new album (' Olympia ') and which is valued as a full album, though the voice is no longer the same, the interpretation is, however ... As for his new Jerry Lee - Killer ('Mean old man' filled with some great collaborations from John Fogerty to Slash) or even the last one of Eno.

But I want to write something on Robert Plant. This year's album with Band Of Joy has already won a place on the list of the established review at the end of the year in Rockzone (' Kanaliena.gr '/ 90 / 4 fm) because it's just amazing! Mature, rough and therefore authentic, rich and plain all together, sounding nice but dirty at the same time. Plant's new(once again in recent years) is not pretending anything supposedly not looking for new roads, no nostalgia, no scratching wounds of old time, NOT feeling pride for himself searching acceptance in the mirror. What is he doing? He fills us with music. Music full of truth. To put it more clearly, beautiful music and for this simple and touchingly human. An amazing album.

RobertPlant Speaking before one - one and a half years ago with the legendary Pamela Des Barres in my show I remember her stubbornly insisting that Robert would not in any way start a new chapter with Led Zeppelin on the side of Jimmy Page, simply because he enjoys what they do today-and this is precisely what characterizes the new with the Band Of Joy, the clear sense of 'today' from beginning to end. One of the largest and most important voices in Rock & Roll mythology, he seems not to have any need of the volume of his myth to continue to rise and this makes he new once more, brand new to his ears and then to ours. Truly, a great album and I think of Page being depressed and thinking from where does the voice of the devil of Zeppelin continue to draw much inspiration and with this freshness. It's a mystery!

The Angel Dance that opens the album sounds like a welcome to a party just started ... A feast from the past with the words of the great fabric, but also the immediacy of eternal youth apart from that silly references to age and decades of life. While Silver Rider shows you the way you stop thinking about it anymore if the work is good or very good in the end, as it is crying 'Stop think and feel ... Get in the game, is music. Listen to it without listening to your thoughts in between. " something like that... The song, of course, that steals your heart for good, what makes you say that Robert Plant is not only still here, but it is definitely in the future is the Monkey. Pure gold. As boring and stuck in his own nature is like listening to the new Brian Eno (perhaps marginally moderate and modest when talking about geniuses like Eno perhaps worse than the disease, which has even an allure) so refreshing water gurgling from a purely source is this new album this beautiful new jewelry made by Plant.

There is certainly the amazing chemistry with the band, the musicians, but even these are details when the need to tell
a familiar yet again, great story, once for the first time speaks louder than words. All good things flow from the same suspense for more beauty and Robert Plant seems to know it better than ever ... It is clear. Let's enjoy it.
