We are still at the beginning of 2011, but it seems like a pretty interesting year on record releases. In 2010 we didn't have relatively many releases from big names. Arcade Fire, Kanye West and Gorillaz released their new works in the year that ended few days ago.

On the contrary, in 2011 we expect to hear new stuff  from several big names in music industry. REM, Radiohead, Coldplay, U2, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Strokes, Arctic Monkeys and Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds are among the groups that have announced new releases in 2011. REM after Accelerate 2008, prepared the new album titled "Collapse Into Now" , which is expected to be released in March. Radiohead will provide an opportunity for all interested to download their new work, paying the price that they want, following the successful method of "In Rainbows". The group, however, is in the studio since last autumn and said that the new album will have about 10 pieces. Coldplay continue their cooperation with Brian Eno for their fifth album, following the very good "Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends". U2 in their new album titled "Songs Of Ascent" they work with producer Danger Mouse and will be released in May. The Red Hot Chilli Peppers will release their tenth album with new guitarist Josh Klinghoffer. The Strokes once they reunited this summer to take part in a number of festivals, prepare their fourth album after their last release "First Impression Of Earth" of 2006. Nick Cave said that in this year we can expect his new task with the Bad Seeds, after the very good "Grinderman 2" in 2010.

Our favorite PJ Harvey will be back in February with "Let England Shake". In the album there will be several collaborations, such as with John Parish, with whom she's been working for many years, Mick Harvey (ex-Bad Seeds), the producer Flood (U2, Depeche Mode) and Jean-Marc Butty. Glasvegas will work with the Flood as well in their new album "Euphoric Heartbreak". On coming Sunday we are waiting to hear the first song.

Apart from these releases that will surely attract more attention, there will be some that we can't wait to listen to:
