After reengaging - reconnecting in May 2007 and concerts in Gagarin , at various festivals in Greece and abroad, Alex, George, Christos and Thanos have prepared a new release called Heavy Liquid , fifteen years after Subliminal . It will be available for the first time, to whoever wants to acquire the CD in the live shows of the Last Drive in Milos 9 / 5 and Gagarin 15 / 5 and 16 / 5 from the bench of the merchandise.
After reengaging - reconnecting in May 2007 and concerts in Gagarin , at various festivals in Greece and abroad, Alex, George, Christos and Thanos have prepared a new release called Heavy Liquid , fifteen years after Subliminal . The album will come to the market under the label of Happy Crasher Records - which was created by the band in order to manage the production of the whole project. The album is dedicated to the recently deceased Lux Interior , the singer of Cramps . The artwork on the disc is made by the comic artist Vasilis Lolos , known from his work and distinction in Greece and USA ( "Last Call", "The Pirates of Coney Island", etc.) . The team taking care of production, is formed by the Drive themselves, the old acquaintance of the band and producer of "Subliminal" Jimmy Spliff and their sound engineer on live performances Akis Paschalakis .
The material of Heavy Liquid was written after the reconnection, contains 11 compositions of the group and one adaptation. Some titles of the songs: "A Glass of Broken Dreams" , "Hang the Bone" , "Magdalene" , "Goldfish ", " Pantherman ", " Hole in the Wall ". Although the singles were in the minds of their creators for a long time the process of recording was completed last February in studio Sierra . As usual, besides Alex, there's George in the lead vocals on some tracks namely " A Glass of Broken Dreams ", " Magdalene "and" Hole in the Wall ". In " Jack of the Highway " they offer one of their classic duets. Anthi (friend of the ensemble) is involved playing Hammond and Fender Roads into two pieces.

From the few pieces of new work which I have heard in their page on myspace I can say that I'm fascinated and that they're closer to Blood Nirvana , their third album in 1990 , the period that the band was at the height of their careers.
