New information for All Tomorrow's Parties

Last week we learned that Pavement will be the trustees of one of the two All Tomorrow's Parties made in the spring in Butlins Minehead, in Great Britain.

Yesterday was announced by the organizers the trustee of the other three days, not other than Matt Groening, the creator of Simpsons and Futurama. And if the choice of a cartoonist for the custody of a music festival sounds unexpected, you should  remember the many worthy musicians who have lent their voices and their music in several episodes of the Simpsons, such as the White Stripes, Sonic Youth, Smashing Pumpkins, Ramones, REM, Green Day, U2 and noting that Mr. Groening has acted before as a trustee on the ATP of Long Beach in the U.S. in 2003 with guests including the Sonic Youth, The Shins, !!! and Cat Power.

Matt Groening will be overseeing the weekend from 7 to 9 of May 2010, while Pavement the weekend 14 to 16 May 2010. The names of those who will play live at the two ATP have not yet been announced but anyone interested to follow closely better hurry as the rooms are booked fast.
