Do you remember the Collection of Dimitris Papaspyropoulos "Blessed and Cursed" in 2004? One of its' songs was the excellent "Pigs and their Farms" of Unisex.

This is a new band from Sweden, which has released a demo collection ("White Days") and a full studio album ("Firesoul").

Unisex are Jonas Linde, who writes songs and sings, Andreas Linde (Drums), Henrik Boman (bass), Kristofer Lofgren (guitar) and Anders Rask (guitar).

Dimitris Antonopoulos spoke with Jonas Linde and below you can read many interesting things for those interesting Swedish guys:

UnisexDA: Tell me your story as a band so far

JL: We are a indie band that has been touring in Sweden, Germany, UK and other countries in Europe. We have released two albums. White Days and Firesoul. White days was released a couple of years ago and Firesoul was released in spring 2010.

DA: Some details about 'FIRESOUL',such a great track.

JL: A firesoul is a person who never gives up on what he/she believes in. No matter what. I have met several firesouls during my days. And I do admire them. I love their spirits. They don't care about money or success. They just keep on doing what they love to do. Even if it is bad business. I guess it is the struggle that keeps them going. They never get bored. They are not stuck in a job they don't like. They care less about limitations and frameworks. They go their own way. I would like to become more like that. But it is not that easy. You need to they sacrifice a lot. That is why i think it is such great thing to be a firesoul.

UnisexDA: What about the Swedish music scene now days?

JL: It's depressing times in Sweden. A lot of people have lost there jobs. There is a big uncertainty about everything.  So, either people want music that will cheer them up or else they want music that is even more depressing. Our album has got quite depressing lyrics. Those lyrics were written under a tough period in my life. At that moment I was quite depressed and had no job. So, I guess, for some people, the songs fit quite well in these times.

DA: Do u know about the economy crisis etc, here in Greece i mean?Your point of view etc..(I wish i could live in Sweden!)

JL: Well it's not that easy to live in Sweden either. In these days you don't get rich by being a musician. It's more likely you will be poor. Our guitars go in and out of the pawnshops!
But yeah, I have seen it on the news what is happening in Greece.

UnisexDA: Have you ever 've been in Greece? What about an Athens gig of UNISEX

JL: We did 3 gigs in Greece a couple of years ago. It was great. All the gigs were sold out and the audience were really getting into our songs. We did not expect that kind of response. We thought nobody would know about us because we had never been playing in Greece before.
