Optimus Alive Oeiras 2012 takes place in Alges, which is suburb to Oeiras (20 km from Lisbon) from 2007. Even though it exists only for 5 years, Optimus Alive! has managed to book many big bands and musicians, like Pearl Jam, Beastie Boys, White Stripes, Smashing Pumpins in 2007, Rage against the machine, Bob Dylan, Neil Young in 2008, Metallica, Prodigy & Dave Mathews Band in '09, Faith no more, Deftones, Pearl Jam, LCD Soundsystem in 2010 and Coldplay, Foo Fighters, Iggy & the Stooges, Chemical Brothers & Jane's Addiction last year.
This year's Festival has also very big names in it's line-up. Stone Roses, Justice, Snow Patrol will perform in the first day (13 July), Cure, Florence + the machine, Mumford & Sons, Antlers will play on the 14th of July and at the last day our beloved Radiohead, their "partner" Caribou, Mazzy Star, Kills, Metronomy, Kooks and other.
Festival's tickets have a normal price. The daily ticket is at 53 Εuros the 3-days ticket at 106,5 (35,5 Εuros per day). If you choose to stay at Camping site, then the overall cost is 123 Εuros. Camping site is 7-10 minutes walk from the main stage.
