Listen to two songs from Fleet Foxes' new album "Helplessness Blues"

The Seattle-based band, Fleet Foxes, after having gained very good reviews for their debut album in 2008, are coming back this year for the second round. Their new album is called “Helplessness Blues” and is being released on the 2nd and 3rd of May in USA (under Sub Pop) and UK (under Bella Union), respectively.

Phil Ek, who produced their first album, is also the producer of the upcoming one.

So far, two songs from the new album have been presented, the self-titled one and “Battery Kinzie”.

Both of the songs are available below.

The quintet, which describes its music as “baroque harmonic pop jams”, has already released a test-pressing version of their album on eBay. The profits from its sale will be donated at the Global Giving Project Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund. The band pledged that they will contribute to the full amount with a donation of their own.

Fleet Foxes have announced a North-American tour in April and will go on to Europe throughout the summer. An appearance in Greece does not seem to be in their plans, as they have already announced appearances in many European countries excluding Greece.
