Pet Shop Boys - Yes

If Depeche Mode released the worst cd, PSB said YES to their inspiration and presented us their best cd probably since the Behavior. So they managed to combine the prize attributed to them in Brit Awards for their overall presence in the music, and a response to what they can do even today.

The 1st single Love Etc , gave us an idea of what would follow, but this was not what we had in mind. And of course we are talking about a complete work which has been prepaired for  years and sounds pleasant from the beginning to its end. And what gives credits to the whole project, is the freshness, it's like the 1st time you hear the group, it's like talking about a new band that has just released its debut cd, but still encompassing all the features that made the Pet Shop Boys so beloved.

It's the voice of Neil Tennant , the simple but poignant lyrics (not the strong point of the  Yes ), and those bittersweet melodies that are difficult to be found. And above all the The way it used to be , which is one of the best songs ever written and will surely be heard much, although probably it will not be one of the next singles, since we find it in a remix, the digital version of 2nd single Did you see me coming?

In Yes Johnny Marr takes part with distinctive guitar moments, although his presence becomes more obvious with the harmonica in Beautiful People . Production undertaken by Xenomania with the Pet Shop Boys .
In Pet Shop Boys say YES!!!
