For years now Moby repeats the same scenario, that of Play. Sometimes successfully, leaving behind some very nice songs, but mostly his work left a "boring" taste and much of the same. Wait for me changes this setting, although it still reminds of Moby , this time it looks like a complete proposal, and I'm sure Moby himself should be very happy with this work (after a friendly chat on facebook he confessed this to me ... Hmmm). Unlike Last Night, which was a dancing frenzy, here the beat drops considerably, more than ever and the atmosphere is very cinematic and David Lynch. It is no coincidence that the famous director created the video clip for the 1st single Shot in the back of the head.
There are many moments that are interesting besides the 1st single, like the excellent 2nd single Pale Horses, Mistake, JLTF1 & JLTF and of course the title song Wait for me . But as I said, what sets Wait For Me, apart from previous work is the consistency and the inwardness of it. Not sure of course if it manages to keep Moby's friends or generally music lovers. But definitely worth listening to more than once.
