Arctic Monkeys is certainly one of the first bands that became known as it had so much success due to the availability of music from the fans around the world via the Internet.

Arctic Monkeys is definitely one of the first bands which became so famous and had such great success due to the availability of their music by their fans around the world via the Internet. The band gave several demos to friends, after their concerts, who were excited  by their music that  went on selling it worldwide via Rapidshare, the torrents, etc.

They used to say in this matter: "We never made those demos to make money or anything. We were giving them away free anyway - that was a better way for people to hear them. And it made the gigs better, because people knew the words and came and sang along." Friends on MySpace were countless and the band themselves stated that before the actual launch, they had no idea what was MySpace and what kind of potential it had. Soon, the Arctic Monkeys became known worldwide and one of the "fresh" products of the British music industry.

Since then, 2005 , the band uses to a large extent new technologies to promote new jobs and in general the activities of its members. For example, last week the Arctic Monkeys did a show on the Internet where they played some tracks from their new album "Humbug" (expected to be released on 24/08 and after a few days you will have a detailed review in Mix Grill ). To be precise, played five new songs: " Pretty Visitors", "Crying Lightning", "Potion Approaching", "Red Right Hand" and "Secret Door" .
