Radiohead και Aphex Twin in an adaptation of a Penderecki play

J. Greenwood of Radiohead and Aphex Twin give their version of the work of Polish composer Krzysztof Penderecki.

Radiohead and Aphex Twin have written some of the history of music in recent years. On the other hand, the rather less well known Krzysztof Penderecki is a Polish composer, starting with music in the 60s. He became best known with his work 'Threnody to the Victims of Hiroshima' (1960) and 'Saint Luke Passion' (1968).

What do all these people have in common? Two things. First, innovation. All of them are constantly changing their music course and have been recognized as pioneers and innovators, each in his/its kind. Second, their appearance in European Culture Congress in Poland.

Specifically the guitarist of Radiohead, Jonny Greenwood appeared on Friday within the European Culture Congress, presenting his work '48 Responses to Polymorphia', which was inspired by 'Polymorphia' (1961) by Penderecki. On the next day Aphex Twin took
Greenwood's place and presented his own version of the same project entitled 'Polymorphia Reloaded'. The Twin presented also a remix of the most famous work of Polish composer 'Threnody to the Victims of Hiroshima '. Both were accompanied by an orchestra.
