Coldplay revealed the story behind the title of their new album. Their fifth record tells the story of two characters, Mylo and Xyloto and it's a love story.
According to drummer Will Champion, Mylo and Xyloto meet, fall in love and try to escape together. You just have to listen until the end of the album to find out if the story will have a happy ending. Champion gives us a hint, however, 'The ending is very powerful and about love conquering all.'
Regarding the musical influence of the new album, Coldplay reported that it's based on the dance music of the city. The drummer says 'We'd started an acoustic album but then we wrote 'Paradise' and knew the acoustic thing didn't have legs.'
