Some like it with a couple of burbon in a low glass. Others with pipes and flavored smoke. The most dogmatic by smoking many strong cigarettes. Others simply stare at the ceiling and listen. My favorite is a culture lover who does not show at first. People that could be something else, old schoolmates who have always been a bit mysterious, people who are not betrayed by their clothes or have characteristic sayings. I have a couple of such friends who in the evening only, without any preparations, they are smoking a "Juan" (and two and three) and give proper attention to the free and creative music, with a call to light jazz, rock and psychedelia. You know who you are ...

1. Rotary Connection - Turn me on ( listen to it here )
Psychedelic soul from super band with the voice of Minnie Riperton, my favorite female voice ... Unfortunately, the lady died young and never had a chance to fully develop her potential...

2. Sun Ra - Door of the cosmos ( listen to it here )
From the album "Sleeping Beauty", I have no words for the man! Look for the album which has been recorded in Greece, in the studio Praxis! Rare!!

3. Eric Dolphy - Gazzeloni ( listen to it here )
out to lunch!
Alto sax, flute and clarinet. Innovative, experimental, avant-garde with the essential nature of the title, one of the most flicker albums ever released by Blue Note.

4 . The Black Keys - Same old thing ( listen to it here )
I look forward to finally listening to BlackRock, hip-hop project from Black Keys, but for now ....

5. David Axelrod - The auction ( listen to it here )
The main dude who made the Capitol Records, highlighted by Lou Rawls and the Electric Prunes and has been sampled more than anyone else (from Dre to Madlib). The most stylish producer ever ...

6. Undisputed truth - Ball of confusion ( listen to it here )
Another great psychedelic soul band search and track "life ain't so easy".

7. Alice Coltrane - Blue Nile ( listen to it here )
1970, "Ptah , the El Daoud ". The fact that she was the wife of John Coltrane is not so important. In another, less male-dominated era she would have the place she deserved, next to other geniuses.

8. Martin Denny - Jungle Flower ( listen to it here )
Exotica + Skunk = now that's what I call trippin '!

9. Naked City - A shot in the dark ( listen to it here )
This masterpiece album, the divine cover hides behind John Zorn and the old gang ... I love it!

10. Art Ensemble of Chicago - theme de yoyo ( listen to it here )
Their most famous track, a relatively simple structure and wonderfully accessible voice for chill out ...

Hear it in the evening better by yourselves, better yet with company, lie back with the phone hung up. Cheers!
