killers It is unfortunate that we didn't get to see Killers in our country in the summer for it seems that some time will pass before we have the opportunity again and that's because the band will be on holiday after the tour to Asia and Australia. At least that's what the guitarist of the group Dave Keuning stated.

"We haven't had a break in quite a while. It's just been touring and making records and on and on and on. ... It's like people just expect us to do that non-stop till we die, but we just want a little bit of time off, just to be myself and do what I want to do for a little bit."

mgmt It has been known for some time that MGMT are preparing their new album 'Congratulations' with the help of Pete Kember, ie Sonic Boom of Spectrum (or Spaceman 3 if you prefer) to be released this spring.

Do not expect, though, the usual single before the album. Here's what Ben Goldwasseer said: "We'd rather people hear the whole album as an album and see what tracks jump out rather than the ones that get played on the radio …There definitely isn't a 'Time To Pretend' or a 'Kids' on the album. We've been talking about ways to make sure people hear the album as an album in order and not just figure out what are the best three tracks, download those and not listen to the rest of it."

We don't yet have the whole tracklist to show you but some titles that have been leaked are 'It's Working', 'Brian Eno' and 'Song For Dan Treacy'.

weller+foxton And finally a reunion.

Although it is not a reconnection of The Jam, besides  Paul Weller has stated repeatedly that he cares not for that, however, certainly after years of estrangement, Weller's collaboration with former bassist of the group Bruce Foxton is news.

Weller said the reunion was the result of them both having lost loved ones (Foxton his wife and Weller his father) and this gave them the opportunity to come together again after so long.

The result is Bruce Foxton playing bass on two tracks from the upcoming album of Paul Weller, 'Wake Up The Nation'. The album will be released in April and apart from Foxton Kevin Shields of My Bloody Valentine is participating.
