ShaneMacGowan While this weekend the media informed us about the new devastating earthquake in Chile, the echo from the previous one in Haiti still motivates the continuous efforts of many artists to raise money to aid those affected.

Such is the effort by Shane MacGowan, the singer of Pogues, managing to rally the help of some well known friends from the alternative and punk scene.

So with the participation of names such as Nick Cave, Bobby Gillespie of Primal Scream, Chrissie Hynde of Pretenders, Glen Matlock of Sex Pistols, singer Paloma Faith and Eliza Doolittle, Mick Jones of The Clash, James Walbourne (also of the Pretenders) and Johnny Depp on guitars and Cait O'Riordan of Pogues on bass, they recorded the song by Screamin' Jay Hawkins 'I Put a Spell on You', with the proceeds going to Dublin charitable organization Concern Worldwide.

The song will be released online on March 8th but the video of the track premiered in Shockwaves NME Awards last Wednesday 24/2.

Watch it below and if you like it and want to contribute go to the website of Concern Worldwide here and to order it.
