The Great Robert Plant, the leading man of the legendary Led Zeppelin releases his new album with "Band of Joy" in September
14.
Band of Joy is, besides Robert Plant, Patty Griffin (vocals), Darrell Scott (multi-instrumentalist), Buddy Miller (guitar and production), Marco Giovino (drummer) and Byron House (bass). Of course, Band of Joy were created originally in 1966 and for two years in the band coexisted Robert Plant and John Bonham. In 1968 however the two of them became members of Led Zeppelin.
Robert Plant said the following about his new job:
"Buddy's integral to this album, you can hear his taste all over the
instrumentation. Buddy's zone is beautiful,
with a lot of reflections going back into mid-Fifties rockabilly, the
singing fishermen and all the great country stuff, along with the soul
and R & B from Memphis. "
