Currently Red Hot Chili Peppers is (finally) in studio for the creation of its new album. You may miss John Frusciante (great loss - see here a good story for his withdrawal), who left the band in 2007, but the rest ( Anthony Kiedis, Flea, Chad Smith, Josh Klinghoffer ) have already started recording.

With their permanent producer after "Blood sugar sex magik" in 1991, Rick Rubin Peppers are probably departing the funk-pop style of their last records and experiment with afro-pop sounds, which Klinghoffer and Flea were inspired with after their trips to Lagos, Nigeria and Ethiopia.

"There's crazy shit on that" says Chad Smith at SPIN . "That music just moves to a different groove, it's not your typical Western four-four. The rhythms are so infectious."

The album was initially expected in 2010, but it's rather heading for the spring of 2011. Next summer they will probably have a tour to promote the album. You think we'll see them somewhere around here?
