After the great success of last year's sold out concert of Nouvelle Vague in Athens, the Parisian band that conquered the world with bossa nova versions of classic punk and new wave hits, returns in Greece in December.

With a new album in their luggage, they are traveling to Patras, Thessaloniki and Larissa, with the last concert in Athens, on December 17 in Fuzz. Along with them their new singer, the charming Mareva Galanter , which already has assets of 2 personal albums (" Ukuyéyé", 2006 & "Happy Fiu", 2008 ) with excellent reviews.

The music of
beautiful - that was even crowned Miss France 1999 - Mareva Galanter, very reminiscent of the type " yé-yé ", too popular with pop music in early 1960, while mixing music and child elements.

The Nouvelle Vague, began from Paris, but soon their reputation went beyond the borders of France. Marc Collin and Olivier Libaux are two of the most versatile musicians - producers of the French scene over the last 12 years (with albums on valid labels, such as F Communications, Output, Naïve etc. ). When their paths reached a common point they decided to build a creative and eclectic format, designed to honor their teens' music influences. In its final result eight singers ( six French, one Brazilian and one New Yorker ) with beautiful voices have contributed bringing a new fresh air.

The Nouvelle Vague kept the melodic core of timeless compositions punk and post punk from new wave groups, such as Joy Division, Clash, Dead Kennedys, XTC, Cure, Depeche Mode, etc. and remakes done by using simple, acoustic instrumentation reminiscent of the style bossa nova, the jazz of the '50s and the pop of the 60s.

The last 3-4 years they have toured worldwide (from Scandinavia to Tel Aviv and from Turkey up to  Mexico), and have appeared with the Dead Can Dance in Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
Within a very short time have managed to win the public of the major festivals ( Big Chill, Primavera, Glastonbury, Overground ) and small clubs ( Jazz Café, Blue Note ).

In last year's explosive live show they presented their album with the symbolic title "Bande A' part", and made the audience in Athens
crazy with enthusiasm. It was a truly memorable evening.
This year they give us one more reason to enjoy them. Their new album, in which they cover only very much loved songs from Depeche Monde, Simple Mind, Sex Pistols, Police and many others, faithful to what they know to do better than anyone: to make us fall in love all over again from the beginning, the songs we love.

The evening will be opened by the Greeks Smokey Bandits (Dimitris Nassios and George Fotiadis) already stand out from the first album "Debut". The sound is inspired by cult soundtracks of films Quentin Tarantino, of Guy Ritchie, Danny Boyle's and Pedro Almodovar. In recordings they are using samples from old records Swing Jazz and traditional music and add their own touch Nu Jazz, Breaks, Dub, Broken Beat & Swing, Tango, Waltz.
