BLACK MOUNTAIN [Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada]
This is certainly one of the greatest names of our days. Their roots go far back in the wild days of the 90's and the other expressive vehicle of their lifelong leader Stephen McBean, named Jerk With a Bomb. The furies of The Velvet Underground, the mutant acid rock and psychedelia from the distorted blues convinced them to change their name to Black Mountain-the leader can afford to keep another group, the princes of the lo-fi, Pink Mountaintops- and being the heavy artillery of the famous collective of Vancouver's Black Mountain Army, to capture out of the blue the crowds of rockers all around the planet.
Three great albums (Black Mountain-In The Future-Wilderness Heart), two EPs (Druganaut-Bastards of Light), a split single with Destroyer and quite a few singles on the high floors of the rock 'n' roll mythology of our days and have since enjoyed accolades and awards with participation in the most famous festivals or touring with people like Coldplay.
