MG: First of all how do you feel about 'West Coast Revelation'? It’s a brilliant record.
JY: Basically, it was a thrill to work with Kim Fowley. We both have Byrd connections going way back. His lyrics with my music is a good combination.

MG: And some details about a wonderful song? 'Halfway House'?
JY: It's a song about how it feels to be in between an old way of living and a new way of living.

MG: Any memories really from the sessions? Something special maybe?
JY: Kim is a great producer, very creative. We did a lot of work, very fast, without stopping when we were recording.

MG: And what about the sixties? Looking back...?
JY: It is amazing that the 60's have become so full of meaning for so many people. It was never expected.....

MG: Any plans for the near future?
JY: I plan to continue touring, playing music everywhere. I hope I can come to Greece. Nikos Kazantzakis is one of my favourite writers. I am currently working on the score for an opera that is set on the Isle Of Rhodes.

MG: Can you tell me 5 of your favourite records of all time?
JY: Blonde On Blonde, John Wesley Harding,(Bob Dylan)  Legacy (Ali Akbar Khan & Asha Bosle,) Bluesbreakers (John Mayall w/Eric Clapton) and Appalachia Waltz (Yo-Yo Ma, Edgar Meyer & Mark O'Connor) are the first that come to mind.

MG: How do you feel being on GRA? An amazing label?
JY: I am happy to be one of the artists on GRA Records.

MG: And closing the interview, what about the USA nowadays..? Is there something really new on the air...?
JY: Growing pains......
