Johnny Depp since 2004 has set up a film studio, which he carefully kept hidden. Infinitum Nihil is co-owned by the actor and the sister of Christi Dembrowski and Sam Sarkar and for its first film he was starring himself. Expanding his business activities in the art world, he is establishing a record company under the name Unison Music. According to MTV News, the company has focused its search for new talent in the UK.
For now, however, it is preparing to release the soundtrack of his new movie, The Rum Diary in coperation with Infinitum Nihil and Lakeshore Records. On the soundtrack will help Christopher Young with retro jazz tunes of the '50s and '60s (he was editor of the music on two Spiderman films). The album will feature Depp, in two songs and a duet with JJ Holiday. Depp, according to Billboard has performed and composed more music for the Rum Diary than any other film.
