Many musicians have dreamed to record the album where the Beatles and Pink Floyd, Radiohead and the Oasis did. But only 8 will make that dream come true as if by magic (the soundtrack of Harry Potter was also recorded there). The famous Abbey Road Studios in London decided to give the opportunity to young artists to take their first steps, to record in the historic halls, in order to celebrate their eightieth birthday.
For the contest, the judges received 918 applications from musicians who were invited to compose their own song to commemorate Abbey Road, but only 8 were selected. The selection process lasted 18 months and according to the one in charge they tried to include many different kinds of music.
