Radiohead to headline Lollapalooza Berlin 2016

Lolla Berlin moves to Treptower Park and celebrates with Radiohead, Kings Of Leon, Major Lazer and Paul Kalkbrenner.

As the festival trucks rolled off Tempelhof Airport last year, the City of Berlin welcomed thousands of refugees to use the former airport as a temporary home. It means that this year on September 10 and 11, the legendary Lollapalooza Festival will move to its new stronghold Treptower Park to celebrate Berlin’s open-air highlight of the year.

Despite the change of location, Lollapalooza Berlin, which won »Best New Festival« at the European Festival Awards, will stay true to its genre-spanning philosophy, presenting a hard-to-match line-up in the German capital.

The 2016 Lollapalooza Berlin show will be headlined by Radiohead and Kings Of Leon. This will be Radiohead’s first appearance in Germany since 2012, and Kings Of Leon last graced Berlin in 2013.

Major Lazer, New Order and more will lure the crowd of the festival’s main stages. Lolla Berlin not only features international top acts, but national treasures, too. Berlin’s one and only Paul Kalkbrenner will take the stage as well as Philipp Poisel, Milky Chance and Beginner – all arriving at Treptower Park with brand new albums in tow.

Who else made the cut? Find out more about the music and non-music highlights like Kidzapalooza, Lolla Fun Fair as part of LollArt and the Grüne Kiez ("Green Neighbourhood") on the website of the festival.
