On 23 and 24 July will be the first I'll Be Your Mirror Festival. I'll Be Your Mirror is the brother of All Tomorrow Parties Festivals, which are carried out since 1999 at UK, America and Australia.
In ATP Festivals there is a difference from other known festivals: the headliner artist acts as a "host", and is the one choosing the line-up of the festival. The concerts are made usually in tourist resorts. Began in 1999 with their hosts Mogwai in Pontin's Holiday Camp on Sussex. Some of the "hosts": Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Jim Jarmusch, Pavement, The Flaming Lips, The Breeders, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Mike Patton & Melvins, My Bloody Valentine, Explosions In The Sky, Pitchfork Media, Portishead, Dirty Three, Sonic Youth, The Shins, Dinosaur Jr., Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Mars Volta, Vincent Gallo, Mogwai, Tortoise, Shellac, Autechre, Modest Mouse, etc.
This year is the first year of I'll Be Your Mirror hosted by Portishead in London Alexandra Palace. Apart from the appearances of Portishead (headliners for both days), PJ Harvey, Grinderman, Swans, Doom, Beach House, Caribou and others, festival includes DJs and film screenings.
