On Sunday, November 6 there will be an "epic" concert, the veterans of Heavy Metal "Virgin Steele" return to our country for a single appearance in Kittaro!!!
Virgin Steele were founded in 1981 in New York. With 12 studio albums, thousands of live performances to their credit and the uniqueness of both their sound and their lyrics, justly regarded as one of the greatest bands in Heavy Metal.
Their music borrows successful elements from both the musical theater and classical music by Verdi and Vivaldi, and the symphonic metal but also the Hard Rock by Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath. In the words of David DeFeis, main composer, singer and frontman of the band, music by Virgin Steele can be described as Barbaric Romantic Metal.
Virgin Steele all these years have developed a special relationship with the Greek fans that at every opportunity make them feel that Greece is their second home. Besides their songs are mainly influenced by Greek mythology, which gives even more importance to their visit to our country.
The concert will openned by Dexter Ward, one of the emerging powers of Heavy Metal music. Dexter Ward have Manolis Karazeri and Mark Dexter, 2 former members of Battleroar and their first mini LP "Antarctic Dream" has made an impact both in Greece and abroad. Their first album "Neon Lights", which includes as special Guest Mario Flores of Titan Force, has already been recorded and will be released in autumn 2011.
