The singer and main songwriter of Strokes, Julian Casablancas , wrote a song, which he interpreted starring in a commercial for the perfume Azarro. The song's title is 'I Like The Night'.

In the spot Casablancas sings to the camera before jumping in the hands of the crowd watching him. You can see it below.

He said the song he recorded for the spot was inspired by the
Strokes' old song 'Take It Or Leave It' (2001). The singer said he was asked to write a song like this and added that he wanted the song to have a little "screaming", to give a sense of 'Take It Or Leave It'.

Explaining the choice of the title of the song, he said: "I've always been a man of the night, I love the night. So, I got this feeling and put it in a song".

Meanwhile, Strokes are in the process of recording a new album. The bassist of the band Nikolai Fraiture said that while they have not yet completed many songs, they have many parts that "connect like a jigsaw".
