DJ SHADOW
: One the most subversive and influential artists of the experimental instrumental hip-hop reviews in his latest album, "The Less You Know The Better", the methods used in 1996 in the debut " Endtroducing ... "

Just the fourth album in 15 years, the 39-year old Californian Josh Davis uses larger samples and more conventional song structures, resulting in" The Less You Know The Better "sounding as a genre-hopping mixtape. Here you will find old school hip-hop ( Back To Front ), riff-shredding heavy metal ( Border Crossing, I Gotta Rokk ), pastoral soul ( I've Been Trying ) and weird dubs. You will even find unique contributions from members of De La Soul and Little Dragon, and also by Tom Vek & Talib Kweli.
