The last such session from Channel 4 that I found is supported by a car company and is called On Track. It hosts new artists, especially of the alternative rock scene, to make their own performances of their favorite songs, which even you can download for free, by pressing Like on the page. For now Example, James Morrison, Kaiser Chiefs, Rizzle Kicks, Manic Street Preachers, The Duke Spirit, The Horrors have participated and we are expecting the Bombay Bicycle Club.
