Finally, after seven years the favorite of many music lovers here in Greece, Massive Attack return in discography.
In a few weeks we are waiting for the EP "Splitting the Atom" (you read the article here ) and early next year we expect their new album. In this there will be many well-known collaborations with Damon Albarn (Blur/Gorillaz), Tunde Adebimpe (singer of TV on the Radio), Guy Garvey (singer of Elbow), Hope Sandoval (Mazzy Star), Horace Andy and Martina Topley-Bird .
In a special article Spin is presenting another song from "Splitting the Atom", the "Bulletproof Love", in which is involved the vocal singer of Elbow, Guy Garvey .
Also, the same article provides a very interesting interview with the band from Spin. In this Massive Attack say that the cooperation that stands out is that with Damon Albarn of Blur and Gorillaz, who they call a genious. Moreover, they say that the collaborations have resulted primarily from their interpersonal relationships with them. In particular, they are friends with Guy Garvey and Damon Albarn . They met Tunde Adebimpe , through Dave Sitek, and as far as Hope Sandoval they send her two songs and she gladly accepted to sing.
Finally, about the fact that 7 years have passed since "100th window", Massive explain that every album is followed by a tour that lasts a year and change. Moreover, in 2006 they released the collection "Collected", which brought them to a new tour. About their new songs, Daddy G says that some of those were tested in their concerts last year, but most of the work wss done in the last 8 months.
