LesSavyFav Although already 15 years old in the music scene, New Yorkers Les Savy Fav, the band of exuberant Tim Harrington, have only four albums to their credit. In 2007 'Let's Stay Friends' was released  and on September 13, their fifth album will be out.

The title is 'Root for Ruin' and will be released in European markets by Wichita, while in the U.S. will be released one day later by Frenchkiss, the company of the bassist of the band Syd Butler.

As to the sound of the new album, Syd Butler says it is reminiscent of the indie bands of the '90s (both of Britpop and the U.S. like Superchunk), a harder sound from 'Let's Stay Friends' and not very danceable.

And adds: "I think Root for Ruin somehow captures all the best parts of Les Savy Fav. We went into it with no expectations, and super excited with what came out. All the songs are my favorites."
