Snow Patrol are back with new work after the last album A Hunred Million Suns (2008). In 2009 they had released a collection of the best songs of their fifteen-year course ( Up To Now ).

Earlier this month they had announced in their official website the release of an EP entitled "Called Out In The Dark". The EP, which contains 'My Brothers',' I'm Ready ' and' Fallen Empires' , will be released only in digital form in England and Ireland on September 4.

So we expect a full album by the Irish, which gets its title from the song "Fallen Empires", contained in the EP. The song "My Brothers", as we read on their official website, has been written for the same title film by award-winning fellow filmmaker Paul Fraser.

The band recorded the album in Los Angeles, produced by Jacknife Lee, with whom they had worked for the previous three albums.

The singer and frontman of the band Gary Lightbody, said: "I went to Metropolis Studios in London and heard the final version of the album. It is finally ready and it is awesome. Now we will switch to live mode. We started rehearsals and will give you details for the live shows very soon. I have never been more proud of a record that I did (for any band that I was a member) and I'm excited to go out and present it live. It's time".

The video for the song 'Called Out In The Dark' is available and you can be it see below. The director is Brett Simon, who has directed the video of 'Somebody Told Me'(The Killers). In the video the singer of the band tries, during the filming, to get to the place he belongs, behind the microphone. He has, however, been replaced by Jack Davenport (actor - Pirates of the Caribbean).
