Σε ειδικό show που μεταδώθηκε από το CBS, ανακοινώθηκαν οι υποψηφιότητες για τα 52α Βραβεία Grammy.

Στα αξιοσημείωτα των υποψηφιοτήτων είναι:

- Η υποψηφιότητα των Silversun Pickups και των MGMT στην Κατηγορία "Best New Artist". Δεν το περίμενα και εξεπλάγη θετικά!

- Το "Everything That Happens Will Happen Today" των David Byrne & Brian Eno και το "It's Blitz" των Yeah Yeah Yeahs στην Κατηγορία "Best Aletrnative Music Album".

- Υπάρχουν άλλα albums σαφώς καλύτερα από αυτά, που προτείνονται για το καλύτερο Rock album. Επιπλέον, προτείνεται ένα Live album των Eric Clapton & Steve Winwood. Προτείνεις ένα Live album, όταν δεν έχεις άλλα καλά ολοκληρωμένα albums, κατά τη γνώμη μου, όσο καλός κι αν είναι ο Live δίσκος.

- Σχετικά με τα soundtracks, θα ήθελα το βραβείο να το πάρει το "Twilight", ακόμη κι αν δεν έχω δει την ταινία. Τα τραγούδια του είναι όλα super.

- Ακόμη, ως τραγούδι ταινίας θα επέλεγα το "Wrestler" του Bruce Springsteen..


- Αν και είναι λίγο δύσκολο να κάνεις προβλέψεις, λογικά το "Use Somebody" των Kings of Leon θα βγει το Rock τραγούδι της χρονιάς.
