In 2002 DJ Shadow returned in record-making, after Entroducing, with The private press. Death in Vegas released Scorpio Rising, which includes featuring by the exceptional Iggy Pop, Bobbie Gillespie , Hope Shandoval etc. In the same year, The Coral appeared with their first and best album under the same name, reviving the 60's psychedeleia. Badly Drawn Boy, Doves and Coldplay release very good «second» albums, almost equal to their previous ones. Suede give us their last official album so far, Sigur Ros release their third album named () and The Streets, that is Mike Skinner, appear in the music scene with their Original pirate material.
Interpol from New York are introduced to us, sounding quite reminiscent of the Joy Division, the Red Hot Chilli Peppers release one of their most commercial albums and The Flaming Lips give out the very good Yoshimi VS the pink robots. The strangely named band (... and you will know us by the) Trail of dead release probably their best album, as another band equally strangely named, Godspeed you! Black Emperor, make an exceptional sense in Greece and perform a very successful gig in RODON (Athens).
