In 2005, Gorillaz released the album of the year, Kaiser Chiefs released their first and best so far album, while Franz Ferdinand  with their You could have it so much better… with passed the test of the second release after a very successful debut.

Also, successful and good debuts were released by Bloc Party, Hard Fi, LCD Soundsystem, Clap your hands say Yeah!, Editors and Maximo Park. Bret Anderson, before releasing his first solo album, in 2007, worked together with his old mate Bernard Butler and as The Tears they released an interesting album, especially for us, the Suede worshipers. Also, Sigur Ros and Morcheeba had interesting releases.

Still, the most outstanding figure of the year was Antony and the Johnsons, due to his unique voice and presence. Raining Pleasure successfully covered the entire Reflections by M.Hatzidakis. Finally, two legendary figures from the past, Ry Cooder and Rolling Stones returned in 2005 with quite good albums. Arctic Monkeys, who were among the first artists to become popular through myspace, created a hype in Great Britain with their Whatever people say I am, that’s what I’m not.

Feel good inc., Blower’s daughter, Don’t cha, Forever lost, Set it off, Love in a trashcan, Diamonds from Sierra Leone, Don’t phunk with my heart, Little disquise, Perfect love, Streets of love, Push the button, On my mind can be heard everywhere.
