Με μια δήλωση του Maxi Jazz στο επίσημο site του συγκροτήματος, οι Faithless διαλύονται μετά το πέρας των συναυλιών, που έχουν ήδη προγραμματίσει. Τι κρίμα...
Μια μεγάλη μπάντα στο χώρο της ηλεκτρονικής μουσικής! Δημιουργήθηκαν το 1995 από τους Maxi Jazz, Sister Bliss και Rollo. Το πρώτο τους single κυκλοφόρησε τον Ιούλιο εκείνης της χρονιάς και ήταν το "Salva Mea" (ακούστε το παρακάτω). Έξι δίσκοι και πάνω από 20 singles. Θέλετε τίτλους; Insomnia, God is a DJ, We Come One, Muhammad Ali, Tarantula, One Step Too Far, Mass Distruction, Why Go?, Sun to me. Με τα περισσότερα από αυτά χορέψαμε στα φοιτητικά μας χρόνια...
Δε θα έλεγα ότι οι Faithless ήταν συγκρότημα των δίσκων. Τα τραγούδια τους έμεναν περισσότερο στους μουσικόφιλους. Το καλύτερο album τους κατά τη γνώμη μου ήταν το "Outrospective" το 2001 με τα "We Come One", "One Step Too Far", "Tarantula", "Muhammad Ali", "Crazy English Summer" να ξεχωρίζουν. Πιο συγκεκριμένα, το συγκρότημα κυκλοφόρησε τους εξής δίσκους:1996 Reverence ("Salva Mea", "Insomnia", "Drifting Away")
1998 Sunday 8PM ("God is a DJ", "Why Go")
2001 Outrospective ("We Come One", "One Step Too Far", "Tarantula", "Muhammad Ali", "Crazy English Summer")
2004 No Roots ("Mass Distruction", "I want more")
2006 To All New Arrivals ("Spiders, Crocodiles & Kryptonite" , "Bombs")
2010 The Dance ("Sun to me", "Tweak your nipple", "Feeling Good", 'Feel me")
To "The Dance" που κυκλοφόρησαν πέρσι ήταν ένα καλό album. Ο Maxi λέει στη δήλωση του ότι "αυτό το album δημιουργήθηκε για όλους εσάς, ως ένα ευχαριστώ, αλλά και ένα αντίο.." Αποχωρούν τώρα που ακόμη είναι σχετικά ψηλά οι μετοχές τους και σε ένα βαθμό καλά κάνουν.
Το μόνο σίγουρο είναι ότι θα μας λείψει αυτή η ψιλόλιγνη φιγούρα του Maxi Jazz με το άσπρο σακάκι στη σκηνή μαζί με την ξανθιά Sister Bliss στα decks.
Εδώ μπορείτε να δείτε τις επόμενες συναυλίες των Faithless σε διάφορες Ευρωπαϊκές πόλεις. Η τελευταία εμφάνιση τους θα είναι στις 8 Απριλίου στο Brixton Academy στο Λονδίνο.

After 15 years(!) and six albums(!!) I think we've probably made our collective point by now and that it's time to close the book and return to the library...We've had, with you, the most unbelievable, epic and moving experience, stretching over years and tens of thousands of miles... joyful, exhilarating and empowering, we never for a moment thought an affair could last this long. Or be this powerful. Never thought for a moment that the end of this journey would be left to us either...
Quite naturally people grow, change and leave the things of youth behind them. You've not only brought us with you, but introduced us to y'children too! What're you like..?
The album 'The Dance Never Ends' was written and produced for you, as a thank you, but also as a goodbye.. the tour schedule has been particularly hectic as we attempt to visit as many territories as there are people who wanna see us.. And say thank you.
If I devoted the rest of my life to the task, I could NEVER thank you enough. I have memories that will still be with me in my next life.
But, like when writing a song, you always just 'know' when it's finished... this is and was the "Thank YOU And Goodbye' tour and to be truthful, I really hope you just pick up the ball of your life.. And RUN WITH IT!!
Once again, whether you bought or downloaded a cd, came to a show or told your mates about us... Whether from the beginning or just last week..
